This is totally fair! Right now, multiplayer is up in the air due to the lack of a networker. I suppose the idea that the original game was an MMO is a bit frightening to some degree, especially for fan developers. I would be honored if you sent in an application to help us out.

Likewise, none of our staff is ever judged for having to deal with real life issues first and foremost. It may take a while, it may shift hands to successors at some point, but we DON'T want anyone to have to commit themselves for that long. I'll just say it here: We're NOT going to spend eight years on this thing. We want to do our best not only to honor the creators of these characters, but the people those characters represent. I t's a diverse cast filled with people from all backgrounds, in a rapidly changing world filled with settings both fantastical and suburban. We've worked tirelessly for over a year now to make sure we do it right, and I think our team has truly dug down deep to the core of a story that could so easily be some stupid kids' game about fighting aliens. While we want gameplay that feels good for the player, we also want to make sure what you're playing actually means something. Likewise, while WC takes a similar approach to Legacy, RE:SPAWN is much more focused on the storytelling aspect. While WC uses assets from Legacy and is therefore much farther along in the process, RE:SPAWN is attempting to do as much original work as possible. Since then, many fan projects have sprung up, but only two ( Worlds Collide and our own) are attempting to do what Devan envisioned.

So, as we can only assume, it was shuttered. Rather, CN was promoting their old shows on the then-upcoming HBO Max with the branding of 'CN Legacy.' When you Google search, it's obvious that a fangame with the same title is not quite what you'd want to show up. After CN tried and failed to keep the property alive with a spin-off game, Devan came back with an entire team of fans to create FusionFall Retro, a re-release of the original game that attempted to restore previously unseen expansions, as well as their own complete re-imagining titled FusionFall Legacy. The CN devs themselves actually were into the idea, but due to the dwindling player base it was deemed a hopeless cause. With custom assets and a new weapon type, it was pretty impressive for what it was, especially for a game that was quickly becoming outdated. Almost immediately, Devan Baker started Project: Revive, a self-made demo that created new game features in an attempt to show there was serious value in updating the game. When their own content failed to make the same impact, they stopped updating it. When they ran out of Grigon's content, they tried to make their own. The game made a huge impact on many kids in its short time, but was largely damned to an early closure after CN's Korean partner Grigon Entertainment went bankrupt prior to release.
